so, where was i?

yeah, so i wasn't kid(dare i say adult?)napped, simply late...and met up with my auntie tessa. to make a long story a little less lenghtly, i had a great time in edinburgh, the weather was super hot aside from fridy the 30th when lynsay and alistair got married...what a bummer! but...lynsay looked so beautiful (al's face was classic when he first saw her as she came down the aisle!!!) their wedding was alot of fun. they had hired a caleigh (totally wrong spelling i'm sure!!) band and they played sweet celtic music all night...they even played a canadian carn dance song for my benefit....at which time i demonstrated my skills that i learned back in dance class at j.n.burnett secondary. all in all it was a great time...i met yet another guy this time things worked out much better as we went out after the wedding and i saw him for the rest of the weekend. ooooh! no, nothing of any notice, he's a cool cat and we're going to hopefully have our paths cross again. spent lots of time with my cousin eve...or evie, as i call her, and we went to her mom's for a day or two. my aunt sue and her b.f. douglas rock the party! i had a sweet time with them at their place.

***side note*** what's the story with the double faucets over here? i don't understand the logic behind this...you can't use the hot tap b/c you'll burn your hands, yet if you try and use the cold tap, you get unsatisfactory soap rinsing! who are the ad wizards that came up with that one? it's absolutely ridiculous!

i'm back. after spending the night at sue and dougie's i caught the train back to edinburgh and got back to tessa's in time for dinner. went to 'the basement' to see franco's (of mona lisa fame) son richard to pick up a little somethin' somethin' he had for me to take back to the island with me. this place is really cool-a bar/restaurant thingy where everyone wears hawaian shirts...i recommend it, the food was great and the desert even better!

tuesday morning i got the plane back to the island and it was straight back to work. man, i was dog tired after that shift...but thoroughly glad to get back. i had thursday night off to have a little b-day dinner at the restaurant with my manx fam and friends. i had a good time, but there was an incident...no alcohol involved, let's not get into it, but remind me to recount the tale when i get home. oooh i was so mad!! bye for now~~~
